Muscle pain in the lower back is often the source of many of the symptoms people will commonly complain of. These symptoms are often the result of poor sitting or standing postures or the result of some form of trauma, usually involving bending and lifting.
Exercises designed to improve the flexibility or strengthen lower back muscles are often prescribed for pain relief. If the affected structures are correctly identified and the exercises are correctly performed, fast back pain relief can be achieved.
In the video below, we demonstrate 2 simple stretching exercises for general back pain, sciatica pain, or spinal stenosis. These exercises target the muscles on either side of your spine that are often very tight and can be quite symptomatic. These stretching exercises can be done anywhere and are very effective in helping you stay active and pain free. Try and hold each stretch for at least 30 seconds and perform 3 to 4 times a day.
