Psoas Muscle Stretch
This exercise is designed to stretch the psoas muscle that attaches to the upper lumbar spine and upper portion of the hip. Dysfunction of this muscle can result in back pain, hip pain, and sciatica symptoms.
Rectus Femoris Muscle Stretch
This exercise is designed to stretch the rectus femoris muscle that attaches to the front side of the pelvis and knee. Tightness in this muscle can cause a forward rotation of the pelvis resulting in back pain.
Piriformis Muscle Stretch
This exercise is designed to stretch the piriformis muscle that attache to the sacrum (tailbone) and hip. Tightness in this muscle can cause back pain, hip pain, and sciatica pain.
